So this will be limited to Sony Ericsson phones only? That will make it harder to compete with WP7 when that will be on most major manufacturer's phones.

Well the most major manuf. smart phones is now android at this point Microsoft's WP7 has a steep hill to climb. Not to say they cannot do it, but at this point Microsoft' uphill climb is very steep, in the mobile market.

as for Sony only devices for PSN access

maybe or maybe not there is not any talk about what other devices outside of Sony only products this will be accessed to PSN, though already PC's have access to parts of PSN so it's in the card's depending on how much sony is going to open the PSN platform up. Sony have already been working with getting Google's Android OS to be included into product's from TV's to EBOOK READER'S, TO Cell phones.

Sony i think is looking to expand the PSN service across as much as they can, because PSN seem's to be making some great ROi at this point it may not be out of the Question to allow more than just Sony only devices to get this benefit of PSN service access who know's we will soon find out though.
