Some guy at THQ was recently saying that they feel cheated when people buy their games used. In the last couple of years THQ has made a huge turn around when it comes to quality software with games like Darksiders, Red Faction: Guerrilla, Saints Row 2, Metro 2033 and UFC Undisputed, but they could be doing much better financially.

So I have come here to post a proposal to game publishers. If THQ, EA, Square Enix, Ubisoft and Take Two worked together and financed the establishment of their own game stores, then they could still make profit from the used game sales and then split the sales based on what game sold. For example, if 2000 used copies of FIFA 10 are sold, then all the profit from those sales should go to EA.

They don't have to stop their shipments to other game stores (Gamestop the demon spawn), but they could leverage sales towards their store by being the only providers to offer exclusive DLC, merchandise, bundles and deals.

Our game industry gets a little needed boost, the online payment thing won't be as necessary and we now have a one stop shop that can provide some healthy competition to the likes of Amazon, Gamestop and Target.

The only thing I'm having trouble with is what to call the store. FB (Fanboys Galore)? Top Game? Gamestation? Can you think of any better names? What do you think of the whole idea?

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.
