I don't mind it, but it's not exactly my favorite. The button layout is awkward for me compared to the layout of the Ps2/3 and Xbox/360 controllers. Also, I really dislike the Z button. It gave me nothing but trouble in Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes (not that I liked that game compared to the classic MGS anyway) because you had to use Z all the time and unless I hit the right half of the button, I could never press it down correctly. What made it annoying was that to put my finger in the proper position to correctly press the button, I would have to curl the finger and it's just more annoying than helpful. I also don't care much for the small d-pad and a little nub like thing for the c-stick.
Also, they must think they're cool not having a select button (another annoyance in a game such as Twin Snakes).
