I'm for piracy. Yeah that's right... I think it does more good than bad in the end of the day.

I don't think I could explain why fully to most of you, as my reasons are related to the fact that I live in a 3rd world country in which the prices of games are obscenely high, and also on the fact that historically, every highest software selling console of its generation was also the most pirated one. In other words, I strongly believe that the vast majority of pirates are not in fact potential buyers who don't do it because they're cheap.

I know I don't help the situation by doing what I do, but in no way it could be argued that I make it worst, as I am in no way whatsoever a potential buyer of new games.

Não acho que a a pirataria faça mais bem do que mal. Justo quando as coisas tavam indo bem aqui no brasil...Eu mesmo deixei de virar pirata justamente pelo PS3. Compro pouquissimos jogos, mas é outra satisfação....

I don't think that piracy does better than worse. When thing were going well here in Brasil. I'm not a pirate anymore , for example, and i know more cases of it. PS3 transformed the habits of many gamers here.

O que eu queria explicar no meu post era que eu acredito que a maioria dos piratas aqui do Brasil, assim como eu, não são compradores em potencial de jogos novos. Isso se dá pelo fato de que somos uma nação pobre (o preço de um jogo novo é em média de 40% a 50% do salário mínimo, o que sinceramente não acredito que seja justo). Ninguém vai deixar de pagar R$10,00 ou R$20,00 em um jogo para pagar R$230,00.

O debate da pirataria é um assunto bem complexo. O fato de eu acreditar que pirataria faz mais bem do que mal é outra história com outros argumentos. O principal do meu post era o parágrafo de cima mesmo.
