I'm for piracy. Yeah that's right... I think it does more good than bad in the end of the day.

I don't think I could explain why fully to most of you, as my reasons are related to the fact that I live in a 3rd world country in which the prices of games are obscenely high, and also on the fact that historically, every highest software selling console of its generation was also the most pirated one. In other words, I strongly believe that the vast majority of pirates are not in fact potential buyers who don't do it because they're cheap.

I know I don't help the situation by doing what I do, but in no way it could be argued that I make it worst, as I am in no way whatsoever a potential buyer of new games.

The combination of your troublesome circumstances and your Bruce Campbell avatar has left me sympathetic to your cause. I've read other stories similar to yours, and I understand completely, but I wasn't trying to complain about people like you in the first place, in case you thought I was calling you out. Actually I have visited several third-world countries including Nepal and India, so my feelings go beyond sympathy.

I seriously hope that they find a way to make the prices here go down.

You see, movie DVD prices here are actually somewhat fair (in most cases anyway), so not only do I not mind buying them, I prefer to do so on the account that I like supporting the movie industry.

I'd do the same for the games industry if it wasn't for the fact that something like 60% of the price of a new game here does not go to anyone involved with the industry, it goes to the government. So in my mind it would be like I'm rewarding these fuckers for making the price of the games 3 (sometimes 4) times higher than they should be. To me that's just fucking unethical.
