Honestly, if you're comparing being bothered by the smell of smoke (which can actually kill you) to being bothered by the way fat people look, then... well there's not much I can say to you.
By the way, I do believe that bullying is completely atrocious and it should be reprimanded.
This should help you see the diference between one and the other:
An overweght kid gets bullyed in school and commits suicide. Pretty normal occurrence.
Can you honestly say you can see that situation happening with a smoking teenager (or an adult, for that matter)?
We treat the situations differently because they are of a different nature.
