lol, no.  Even across PC & PS3 (& 360, lolz), FFXIV will probably only sell about half what MH3 does worldwide.

There is no way FFXIV will do less than FFXI (shipped 2 - 3 million).

PC pre-orders are very strong and online on consoles is much more popular this gen.

FFXI didn't ship 2-3m, unless maybe you're counting up all expansion discs together added on top of copies of the base game.  And it's highest simultaneous subscriber base topped out around 500k, which is a figure MH Frontier managed before it even got the 360 port, and just in Asia alone at that.

I don't doubt FFXIV can beat out FFXI, but actually outselling MH3 (which is going to pass 2m soon) is going to be a tougher feat.  And if MHP3 is subscriber based, it'll easily take the crown almost immediately anyway.
