The game is never really "easy" so to speak but everyone's been saying for a while now that choosing Royal class generally makes the game a lot easier for new players. Look back in some DS threads [though that would be alot of work, DS threads of past were extremely long] and you'll notice that there's a ton of people saying the game wasn't difficult early on when they chose Royal and people recommending Royal for beginners. Temple Knight's also considered a pretty good for beginner's but Royal is definitely number 1.
