Where are all the people that are saying that Sonys claim to have 11 mil out by end of fiscal is a lie?

Im not seeing them, because 9 million WILL happen before January, and then its what? 3 months to jump 2 more mil? With the gift card effect to take into account and the amazing First Quarter in games that Sony has packed away, that shouldn't be a tall order.

Should be amazingly fun to watch.

Didn't help the PS3 in Jan-march 2007, I seriously doubt they'll get 11, sales for Ps3 will start to plummet next week

last year gift cards werent popular at all but with our economy in crisis giftcards were in style to give out as it allowed a set limit to extended family/friends you gave one to instead of buying 15 gifts that averaged a total of $300, 15 $10 gift cards meant only $150 spent on people. This is an example but it is how things are this holiday unlike last holiday which customers were willinig to spend $300 on gifts for extended family/friends.

Yeah but it won't be likely to help the PS3, more likely that will be Wii money for Wii's that couldn't be found before the holiday

but what happens when the Wii sells out? the PC market is down thanks to Microcrap's garbage OS (Vista) so it wont be PC money now will it.

People who want a Wii are unlikely to want a PS3, since it is a different machine with different games, PS3 being a machine that appeals to the hardcore only, Wii appealing to everyone

Predictions:Sales of Wii Fit will surpass the combined sales of the Grand Theft Auto franchiseLifetime sales of Wii will surpass the combined sales of the entire Playstation family of consoles by 12/31/2015 Wii hardware sales will surpass the total hardware sales of the PS2 by 12/31/2010 Wii will have 50% marketshare or more by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  It was a little over 48% only)Wii will surpass 45 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2008 (I was wrong!!  Nintendo Financials showed it fell slightly short of 45 million shipped by end of 2008)Wii will surpass 80 Million in lifetime sales by the end of 2009 (I was wrong!! Wii didn't even get to 70 Million)
