if sony has tghe agreement in place,RS would hvae to pay SONY to go multiplat aqnd the cost you talk about,RS already has an engine that is now being reused again and again so costs are not that much more and if sony indeed has the exclusivity, they would have promised RS to have a certain amount of userbase and pricecuts when their game delivers so that RS profits much. and PS3 userbase will be massive and PS3 will get a pricecut next year to $199 most probably and coming out with GTA5 that time.RS would do big numbers on PS3 itself Also having downloadable content of a game being exclusive is a far cry from the actual game being exclusive. It's also interesting that you mentioned those episodes since they work against future ones being exclusive since Take-Two was unhappy with sales by having it restricted to one console. but you talked abt exclsuives and i mentioned it and take two were unhappy cause it was their own fault to even sign up for the exclsuive that comes so late after the game and wasn't marketed a full fledged GTA game gets marketed to hell and people know abt it.people didn't know that much about the episodes and no hype As for Sony allowing GTA4 to go multiplatform it is really is irrelevant since they have no say on future installments in the series. i didn't say sony has any say on future installments but if they made an agreement then itself then RS can do not much about it and RS themselves would have agreed it that time just to get GTA4 to 360 Seriously why do you think it would make sense for the series to go exclusive to PS3? As we have seen Western games like Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead Revolver sell incredibly well on 360. i didn't say it makes sense i am just saying that if a agreement is there, then RS would have to do it and SONY would have promised RS certain userbase and pricecuts PS3 will be 50m by next christmas and that is good and they would bring alot owners from 360 to PS3 ABT THE GTA4 and RDR sales more on 360,hell that was because 360 had a good pumping of western games that raise its userbase and the price.NOW if sony would have never allowed GTA4 to go multi-plat and were to have low price, would RDR sold more on 360,that a good scenario to think about The market has pretty much been split down the middle unlike the old PS2 days. If it's a money hat they're after do think Microsoft couldn't pony up even more money? yeah but there are many people still do buy a PS3 and were waiting for its price to come down.now and next fall they will have a cheap PS3 and then going exclusives will rbing more consumers and MS pony up even more money,do you really think if SONY made an agreement they would not demand alot more.and would MS be willing to do that and do they want to spend more money on 360 or do some damage on their future console. All these people dreaming of Take Two making the next installment PS3 exclusive are kidding themselves and forgetting that Take Two is actually a business and cares about money. nobody is dreaming,we are just discussing legal reality that if an agreement is there and PS3 has a good amount of userbase then it could happen we aren't saying that it would.most likely it won't but just discussing the thing |
