Even if the "support" that they are talking about is to have it work after Sony's inevitable FW to block this, it still wouldn't be a reason to buy their original version as I'm sure other hackers will manage to bypass Sony's block through a CFW of some sort. Look at the PSP, they needed to have 3 hardware revisions to make it difficult to hack as every FW had a CFW to go with it.
