Why does everyone think a firmware update will stop the mod from working? The wii has had a bunch of firmware updates and they get cracked within weeks.

Difference is that PSN won't work without a firmware, while Wii's Wifi will work without updating.
plus a lot of games won't work without the newest update you see.

My original xbox games wouldn't work without the firmware updates but all you had to do was run a program to patch the game and it worked just fine. Right now, their are only a few people working on the mod, but once modding communities develop more of fanbase you'll have tons of people working of fixes to patch the latest firmware update and find ways to avoid force installs. I don't know if it will be possible but it seems it's just a matter of time before more effective mods are developed.
As for the PSN won't work, me and my buddies all had two consoles, one for single player that's modded, and a normal one for online play. Again, Sony may be able to stop all future mods but history says otherwise.

You first compared it with the Wii , now you jumped ship to the original xbox? , then talk about "IF THEY MAKE ONE IN THE FUTURE" the difference between now and then is that now is now and then is not now.

I started talking about the Xbox in another post that didn't make it through to this quote, so I didn't outright jump ship, I kind got side tracked and you were not involved in the side tracking, if that makes since. I brought up the Wii because it was more recent and I know a little about that scene, but I know a bunch about the original Xbox mod scene and brought it up because I know they had forced firmware updates on games, and I know how they got around it. I'm not jumping ship, I'm kind of floating between them and hoping someone will pick me up.
@ bolded, history repeats itself so now is kind of then and then is kind of now and I think then and now become one and the Matrix is formed or something.
