They cancelled Spider-Man 4 and they intend to make a reboot of the franchise (wtf?) with a whole new crew and cast.

Spiderman 3 was a piece of shit so a reboot was inevitable.

If they are going to honor the source material this time, then they have no choice but to exclude Mary Jane from this first movie.

You are rather mislead. Spider-Man 3 was simply amazing.

But I'm not suprise that a forum user on the internet dislike the Spider-Man movies.

After making the thread about Spider-Man 4 being cancelled a while ago, I came to the conclusion that people on the internet are most of the times very geeky and that's why they disliked Sam Raimi's take on the franchise.

They don't need to stay true to the source material, they can make it better and more suitable for a movie adaptation and that's what Raimi did and I'm glad he did.

He totally captured what makes Spider-Man such an amazing hero.
