I haven't played the first, but I'll probably pick it up soon since it's so cheap now. I'm willing to look past a game's flaws (to an extent) if it's got good ideas, and that's kind of the feeling I got about Red Steel 1 from reviews and people I know. Good idea, rushed and done poorly. If the second one actually takes the time to do it right, then it could be a decent game (though another FPS...)
