Unfortunately, in the eyes of the consumer, it's a dying machine.  The chance to revive the PSP has passed.  Sony needs to focus on a PSP sequel that appeals to a larger audience.

I don't get you people sometimes. Just because the competition is doing better doesn't mean the other is doing bad. One brand of 'x' selling more than the other but doesn't mean the other is doomed. It's still selling 80-90k. That's not bad at all given it has had almost no good price cuts even. So no it's just that some tend to ignore basic facts like this. For sony psp is still selling well enough for them. They will release the next psp when it's ready not when people cry doom and gloom, as they should.
