Wasn't America supposed to be an big supporter of freedom of speech but showed the world it is throwing it away? (Aka South Park episode) tolerance should come frome both sides not one;..otherwise you get situations like in Europe where people get beating, killed simply for giving some critic against the islam..;.

Just because one party is being ignorant and intolerant, we as Americans shouldn't throw our values out the window and stoop to their level. We should lead by example and continue to do what is right.

I agree with what he said. What's right, is to allow them to build it, and then bitch about it as loud as we can, if we don't like it.
I for one don't care if it's built or not. But calling the millions of people who care somehow un-american for speaking there minds, is crazy.
No one, on either side, has said they should not have a right to build it. Some people just think it's a really stupid thing to do.
The point of America, is to have a lot of different views about things. If your looking for a country where everyone has to agree on something, you need to look elsewhere.
