Um profit of course is how Sony is going to gauge it.  But for further analyzing, how much 3rd party support it gets.  And more than just optional use but how developers go about making exclusives for it it.  Even further 3rd party peripheral support and sales is always a good sign.  I don't personally think it should have too many issues being profitable, but long term success is really going to be dependent on how well it is supported for the next year.  And that this support isn't just "minor" support but something that really takes the peripheral more seriously... not just an optional function.  If it can do that then sales will obviously continue to be good and Sony will be very pleased.  Then we'll see how it carries over to PS4 and beyond.
