Whenever I read the posts in a thread discussing stereoscopic 3D technology/games, there are many posters (at least 1 in 3) who claim that either they do not care whatsoever, or that they care less for it than for a second analog control for a PSP2 for example.
This puzzles me greatly because there is nothing more rewarding than stereoscopic vision. We are using this trick every day of our lives (if we can). Artists and architects and eventually motion picture and game creators are trying to transmit this feeling of stereoscopic vision as good as they can through a painting/picture or a series of pictures quickly following each other to create a moving picture. It never is right though, there are always new ways to improve on this imperfect perception of 3D through 2D.
Now we have the stereoscopic 3D technology that will transform the flat surface of a screen into a MUCH better illusion of a window into another world, and people don't care?
Why is that?
