Just so you know I'm not against the "ground zero mosque" at all, although I do think it would be a great sign of respect towards America if the Muslims put it a few blocks further (or in a different part of NY) from the WTC site.

I don't understand that logic of 'just a little further away'. There already is a Mosque two blocks further and has been there since the 70's. Does a couple extra blocks really make any difference?

You can't even see the location of the proposed new Mosque from Ground Zero.

I didn't know there was already one there, but that's cool cause its been there for 40 years. Actually come to think of it its been almost 9 years since 9/11 so really it was a long time ago now.

I guess when all's said and done I don't have a problem with it at all. When I first heard the news I was shocked but after thinking about it and reading posts from you guys its not such a big deal.
