I'll believe it when I see it...and from all the reports/rumors etc that we have heard so far, this doesn't seem to be the case

MS has obviously either enhanced the skeletal system to handle sitting in various furniture or come up with a different solution.  Either way, if you can use your hands on the dash, there is absolutely no reason why it would not be available to developers for use in games.
