I think this is quite a step up to any exiting console game. Same with Rage and Crysis 2. The scale and lack of framerate drop when that HUGE monster came out was unmatched.
Seriously I have seen 3rd party devs this year shine in tech alot more than first party devs.
Top of my technical achievement food chain right now from all the games Ive seen are
Rage
Followed by
Crysis2/Bulletstorm
Possibly then followed by
LOS/GT5/Reach.
Then the rest.

So you haven't played God of War 3 then? Also, in what universe does Reach approach the technical achievements of Gran Turismo 5?
The game is looking pretty cool though and yes the graphics are top notch.

I already replied to selnor and watered down what he said by merely pointing out that at the very least what these recent games show us is that the 360 wasnt maxed out when sony fans told us it was 2 years ago.
By the way... whats ME2? Mass Effect2? Halo Reach is a LOT better looking than ME2, even accounting for the MUCH larger scale of Reach compared to ME2. (I bet ME2 wouldnt have been in that list a few days ago lol.)

I don't know if you have played ME2 or not but I own it and the character models are top notch. Probably some of the best I've ever seen. But environmentally Reach is better and overall Reach is a better looking game. I played the Reach beta so I'm comparing it to ME2 btw. I'm sure the final product will look even better.

yes i have played ME2 and that why i was recommending it as one of the good ones
abt REACH,we don't know shit about it till next month
i'm not saying that REACH won't be good but just saying all those will be the best out there and then not even mentioning the biggest current games and some of the biggest upcoming is what selnor always does

Dude read my posts before responding. I have played the Reach beta. The beta itself looked better than ME2. Therefore the final game will look better. Its not hard to comprehend.

I don't think Reach is going to be the best looking game out nor will it be top 5 but will be great looking nonetheless. Considering the scale of Reach technically it will be one of the most impressive though.
