I think it is obvious to even the most die-hard xbox fan that the majority of the 'slim' sales are current users upgrading their consoles as there has been little to no change in software sales which is expected when a lot of new users join a console group, unless none of them are buying games to play on said console? lol

Care to explain how you come to that conclusion?

This week 200k 360's were sold. 1.1m software was sold. Is it not possible that a lot of those 200k new 360 owners make up for the 1.1m games sold?......

obviously he was talking about the opening weeks.

also stop trieng to argue that slim sales arent people upgrading. nonetheless impressive sales.

A lot of people will have upgraded, a lot of people will be new time buyers. Just because there has not been a huge software sales spike does not mean it is only people upgrading. It isn't arguing it is called common sense. You don't get a game with the new console unless you buy one of the bundled versions. So basically your logic is to say people will pay £200 for the console then £40 for a game to go along with it which in turn means software increase right?

As i said what is to say those people who bought a new console have not bought a new game? There is no evidence to suggest that they have't just your opinion. I haven't bought a 360 game since Alan Wake. I am sure there are loads of 360 owners who have not bought a new game for awhile. When the 360 exclusives launch i.e Halo,Fable and Gears then no doubt 360 software sales will pick up. Bust just because they are around what they were prior to the slims release does not mean only current 360 owners are upgrading. That is just bollocks.
