Why should I dream on?  There was a price drop and a slim version introduced.   Do you seriously think it will be over 50% YOY at the end of this year?  LOL thats what you should dream on about.

really? They just lowered the price of the higher priced console and then introduced a new higher priced console?

There might be temporarily price cut for 120gb/250gb models to clear the stock but even that would be just temporarily. Last year when Slim launched old phats were sold at the same price as Slim so new models don't always mean price cut... At the moment official price for PS3 in Europe is 299€ and Sony hasn't revealed plans to cut it.
