But the DS came out in 2005 so I definetely expected it to be compatible with it, I mean the thought never crossed my mind that it wouldn't be compatible.

Here with our ISP we get new models each year of contract, the most recent one we got allows up to 100 MB/s connection. 

I hope you get that sorted out with your university Wi-Fi
