I imagine MS must have some rights to the orginal that are keeping them from porting it to the PS3. Otherwise this is just a dumb decision.

Yep, of course. It would definitly make more sense bringing a trilogy or at least ME1 plus ME2 on one disc to PS3. But I think it's better than nothing for PS3 fans.
