Alright, I'm digging the quieter chip and I believe my mind is made up about case (the Antec one, it really is nice).
So, skimping out on the video card ($230 for a card seems a bit much I may stick with the one I have for now even though it's not great, unless cards make a world of difference in photoshop) and adding RAM this set up will come a few hundred dollars cheaper than the one I listed in the OP (though should I still get the artic 5? I am assuming I won't need the heat sink I listed in the OP with the less wattage CPU).
Also assuming I can sell my current optical drives and RAM for $100 or so, looking at about $400 for an upgrade. Not too shabby.
Squilliman: do you think these components you listed would be alright for another 3-4 years or are they bottom of the barrel-ish now?
