Well it depends.

1. Do the current 3D glasses give you a headache?

2. Do you find anything wrong with the colour reproduction in 3D?

3. Can you wait for a new TV until next year?

1. No. I don't plan on sitting 8 hours straight in front of the TV with the glasses though. 2-3 hours max depending on what I'm watching. I did about 30 minutes at Best Buy in front of their display unit and the glasses seem fine.

2. Not yet, but I've only demoed a TV for half an hour. It's going to be hard to get any other interaction with a unit outside of an electronics store because no one I know has one. The colors look fine. The 3D pops as well as it does in the theater.

3. Probably not. I want a new set for football season, as I'm currently nursing an old 32" 720P off brand TV that has a slight amount of permanent burn in on the left side. Best I could probably do would be to wait for Black Friday, but frankly this deal is very good, and even during the holiday season I can't imagine the price improving much more considering how few sites nowadays let New Yorkers get away with not paying tax online. In comparison, this exact package with two less pair of glasses costs just a shade over $3000 on Amazon, tax included.
