Hey guys. I'm looking to purchase a new TV and looking for a good price and probably a package deal. I'm very interested in picking up a 3D TV so I only have to purchase once early instead of purchasing a regular HD now and then repurchasing in a few years when 3D content is widely available across movies, games and TV. I can be persuaded out of that logic if you guys insist though. I have a few questions for those knowledgeable enough to answer them.
1. Are the current crop of 3D LED and Plasma TVs going to be relevant in a few years, or is there a new technology likely to take over by then?
2. What sort of 3D content is available now and what is going to be added over the next 6-12 months? I'm interested in movies, games and TV content, including tv shows and especially sports.
3. I have a 4 year old, so kids movies are partially why I want a 3D set. How much exposure to this set is good for her? Not looking for a moral argument, just a health one.
4. I was looking at this package deal. It's a Samsung 58" 3D Plasma TV, 3D BluRay player, 4 pairs of the 3D glasses and the Monsters vs. Aliens DVD for $2,451.00 with no tax and free shipping. How is this deal in general? Is it worth doing? Are there better deals out there?
Thanks for the help in advance. Will be prepping the cookies momentarily. ;)
