An airborne city in 20th century America is highly unrealistic. I will boycot this game.

You thought Rapture was a plausible setting?

Sort of. Hmm... at least it felt believable. Don't you think that?

But I just can't melt a flying city. Not in the 20th Century.

It was an underwater city

A big underwater city, housing thousands of people

Built in the 30s.

I think Slimebeast is still right with his argument about suspense of disbelief.

But still, forgetting about realism or not, I personally think that a balloon city just feels lame. I mean you have the romance of Rapture with its analogy of Atlantis. Its allusions to Rockefeller and the Gilded Age, along with Ayn Rand and Objectivism later. You have the darkness, the beautiful ocean, the feeling of isolation.

The new setting just doesn't feel appropriate for a horror game. I mean, plus you guys bring up the time period (If my one playthrough and fuzzy memory gets it right, didn't Rapture have its concept come from the 30's with Andrew Ryan pissed at FDR, but materialize after WWII with the streams of displaced people looking for a new start?), but doesn't a underwater city feel more believable, more natural, than what we saw in the trailer?

Each person has their own opinion though *shrug*. However, it really pisses me to see people just brush off other people's opinions with 1 word posts. Especially considering the irony that that person is supposed to be a "Contributor" =/
