I've seen much more hardcore challenges, like beating Final Fantasy without any materia, items, and not going higher than Level 29.

True, I think you need to go chocobo digging on pulse for countless hours to upgrade all equipment needed and the you're set xD I don't know if I'll try this challenge or not because just thinking about chocobo digging for hours makes me tired and bored xD.
Never tried to do that on VII... but I think you can also finish it without leveling up a single time? maybe I'm wrong, IDK :P.
The only Final Fantasy challenge I've done is the 122333 challenge in Final Fantasy XII (you basically finish the game whithout leveling up, I think the levels were: Vaan: 1, Balthier and Fran: 2, and Ashe, Basch and Penelo: 3... hence the 122333 :P)

Yeah, that's possible. The same guy also beat the game with Tifa at Level 7. Basically he fought every boss with Tifa at level 7, restarted, and beat it normally so he could show that she could beat them but still not level her up. He also did each battle with two restrictions: No materia, and no items.
He's completely insane.
I'm going to try and do a Level 1 FF9 challenge, but that'll be easy. Next I'd probably either do Low Level No Support Abilites or Solo Low Level.

Yeah, there are many of these challenges in Final Fantasy games :P. I wonder if the developers make this things possible on purpose or if they don't even know that can be done until someone starts posting videos on the internet, lol xD
I think I've seen someone doing the 122333 challenge whithout using the licence board. Some fights took so long that he had to leave his PS2 turned on for weeks, lol xD. And I think the only boss he couldn't beat was the final boss, that must suck.
