First of all...PS3 doesn't have any 3d capabilities that 360 doesn't have. The only thing PS3 has is software which makes the TV think its an HDMI 1.4 device.
can the 360 do 1080p 3D,no but PS3 can
i know its difficult buy crytek have been syaing that PS3 is a more powerful system and they want to get more out of it
So I really doubt crytek will get a lot more out of the Ps3...there may be slight consmetic differences...like that Mafia 2 game, but it should be similar.
we don't know any of that so lets wait
Secondly, the sales are probably more now. But as of early June it was 300,000. Samsung leading the pack since they were out first... Could be double by now actually as sony and LG released their units after June.

yeah cause world cup had a major 3d push
And lastly, its just bad business to block existing userbase.
yes but if they were minor if many gamers weren't having it and they never put out a 3D ofr 1.3 then there isn't much of a problem
the people with 3d gear were obviously hardcore users of the tech and will surely purchase the PS3 to test its 3D capabilities...
yeah but not all hardcores are gamers and not necessarily they biy PS3 to test 3D
I can make PS3 work with my TV, but I need this adapter. I shouldn't have to get a 300 dollar adapter...Sony should be fighting to get my $$$ away from other possible 3D solutions.
SURE BUT they never made iot work with old 3D or anything so not much fault
there could have been some problems with the game as older 3DTV's had lower refesh rate too and games need higher refresh rate than Movies that you play on panasonic
if they announced it as a PS feature in 2006 then surely they should have provided it but this is jst an extra thing

1. But PS3 CAN'T do 1080p for 3D gaming...only bluray movies supports 1080p.
Hell, the brand new 5000 dollar 3D TV can NOT do 1080p 3D gaming. Gaming is limited 720p on all TVs...Kinda sad considering that my 22 inch monitor does 1080p 3D with the PC.
If Crytek gets more out of PS3 its because PS3 is indeed the more powerful system, not because it can do better 3D. 360 has 3D advantages over PS3 believe it or not. Its video card is better, has 512 unified RAM vs 256mb and has 10 MB of ram ont he CPU. All of these help 3D more than a strong CPU...but if Crytek plays around with the cell enough, im sure they can make the Ps3 version slightly sharper.
2. My "old" 3D TV has a 300 mhz refresh rate, and a response time of 0.0008 miliseconds. New LED LCD 3D TVs have 120 hz and 2 miliseconds. I have seen all of the new 3D TVs and the only models which are better than the "old" 3D DLP TVs are the Panasonic Plasmas. Everything else has horrible ghosting or other issues like picture going crazy if you tilt your head.
What I am trying to say is that the 3D TVs and monitors before HDMI 1.4 are not inferior to the new technology.
Its actually very much the same...minus the fact that they don't have HDMI 1.4. Which has the same bandwith as HDMI 1.3...yet is used to lock all HDMI 1.3 devices out of 3D content...lol
