hell no... Deus Ex looked very average in 2000.. almost crappy even for that time.. lots of dark industrial environments... Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament were released before Deus Ex and looked way better.. thank god it had ubergodly gameplay... look at the trailer from 2000:

it was indeed industrial , but not this yellow gloom crap that is very common in HD games nowadays and doesn't even make sense, its like Virtual Boy but with Yellow instead of red, atleast the first had colors! , you know, like those blue , red, and all that! , not flashy yellow lights with yellow sky and yellow everything.
