Woah!  I completely missed that, why are you hating on The Little Mermaid?  It came out in Disney's prime and is probably one of the best ones!

Are you sure you didn't watch The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning?

Also, from what I've heard The Last Airbender wasn't that terrible of a movie.  It wasn't good, but if you like the series it's apparently a decent ride (I haven't had a chance to see it, I'll have to wait until it comes to DVD).

lol I actually love The Little Mermaid (although I would never put it in my fav list) but it's just to show that his taste is vastly different so he might simply not be into Shyamalan's genre of movies.
