I liked Unbreakable and The Sixth Sense. They're one trick pony movies but I enjoyed them for what they were. Everything else was fucking horrible, particularly Signs with the Grand Canyon-sized plothole of "why would aliens that are susceptible to water invade a planet that is 70% water and rains constantly?"

Perhaps because they don't know they are susceptible to water?

Right. They can break the speed of light and have the technology to travel millions of light years, yet they didn't realize they are vulnerable to a not terribly uncommon molecule.
