A couple things here. the GOP would never work with anyone with the views of Obama. That's the problem. The Presidents who have had the most success are the ones closer to the middle. While the people on the far edges of there party might not like them, they get more from the other party then they lose. Obama is on the extreme end of his party. He will not get Republican support, because 99% of the things he does they don't support. And not having a single payer system has nothing to do with Obama. If that's what Congress would have gone for, there never would have been a bill for Obama to sign. As for Ben Nelson, I think what he did was fantastic. Ben Nelson does not represent the people of the united states, he represents the people of Nebraska. What he did was in the best interests of the people he represents. The people who should be thrown out, are anyone who agreed to what he was trying to do, because agreeing to it meant sacrificing the people you represent for the sake of your ideology. |
The hell he is.
You don't know crap about crap, yet you come on here spouting all this "wisdom" all the time. Have you moved out of the country yet? Please do.
The reason his approval ratings are low are because 10-15% of the country thinks he's way TOO moderate and conservative, and we are frustrated. If you think that the true left of the country is just going to sit out the election in 2102 to vote for the next Bush clone, you are truly mistaken. I disapprove of the job he's doing, but I'd vote for him again in 2012 without hesitation. And there's about 20 million of me out here. You can see it even in the way Gibbs and Obama are treating the true liberals in the media and press briefings. On the one hand you say he's just like Bush. On the other hand you say he's on the far left of his party. Something don't add up there, does it? Such garbage.
The anti-war crowd wants him to bring troops home faster.
The GLBT crowd wants more action on DADT/DOMA/gay marriage
The immigrant crowd wants fair action on illegal immigration to help tone down tensions and ease the pressure in places like Arizona and other border areas.
etc. etc. etc.
And many of these people disapprove right now. But not in the direction you're hoping for. Those polls aren't asking any detailed questions. The world is a wonderfully complex place. It's not YES/NO. There's a whole lot of answers in between.
