See, I'm more of an "opera metal" (nightwish, within temptation, Kamelot, Epica, etc) than a regular Heavy metal listener. Only exception is for Avenged Sevenfold. I can't stand metallica who are supposed to be the poster-boys of the genre

Nothing wrong with not liking Metallica. They are my favorite band, but metal is the most diverse genre that some sub-genres sound completely different from each other. I am new to opera metal, Nightwish is the only one I am familiar with but I love their music. Deathcore is the only subgenre I can't stand. I like bands that you can actually understand what they are saying.

That's why I enjoy Cradle of Filth's new approach since Nymphetamine. Previously, I couldn't stand them since they were barely understandable (with the exception maybe with From Cradle to Enslave). Now, they're more Symphonic Metal oriented.

I'll have to give it a listen. I have only ever heard their older stuff and was not aware they changed.

Make sure you give Nymphetamine, Temptation, Tonight in Flames and Her Ghost in the Fog a listen, when you have the chance

I listened to Nymphetamine, its pretty good. I'll wait until tomorrow to listen to the rest of it. My household would kill me if I was blasting music at this hour, it's 9:30 over here.

Hahaha I understand you I sometimes forget that living in an apartment means that after 10:00 PM, you can't have loud music playing, and I leave my PC blasting at max until some of the neighbors come complaining
