Then again, a publisher shouldn't be judged by its metacritic score but rather its memorable titles.  Outside of FFXIII and a few fan favorites like The Last Remnant and Star Ocean: The Last Hope, I doubt that Square has any.


And their Handheld titles aren't memorable?


Quite a few are memorable because they're originally games from the 20th Century that we remembered when Square-Enix repackaged them on handhelds.

That's a bit unfair. True, they've had quite a number of remakes of previous successful games, but they've also created better sequels/continuations of their staple series and pretty good spin-offs as well. 

In terms of unique and original series/IPs, that I can agree that they're lacking, in comparison to previous gens.
