Why have the last 30 years been SLOW in space/aeroplane technology?

consider how many governments, their spies and their telescopes were monitoring those Apollo moon landing ,

the Soviets admitted they was waiting to tell the world the U.S. was faking it. just  too many countries tracked the landing.

no such place as Area 51.
