Some of these answers are very pathetic. $50 lol.

What is so pathetic about the price someone would be willing to pay for a console?

$50 is an insult to any system. You may as well admit it that you hate the system or the games on it. That would have been a better answer.

I know that here in Australia, no system has reached $50. Even the crappy Gamecube that sold like 250,000 units here dropped to $80 minimum.

PS2 is still $99AUD, for it to get to $50 it would have to be out for a few more years on the market.

The games I'm interested in on the Wii are too expensive. They also lack any decent online components and they are not in HD. Twilight Princess is a Gamecube port that came out nearly 4 years ago on the Wii and it still costs $70 pre-owned  and $99 new http://www.ebgames.com.au/search?title=zelda&platform=wii. Mario Kart is still $99. Super Mario Galaxy is still $80. New Super Mario Bros is still $98  http://www.ebgames.com.au/search?title=mario.

Red Steel 2 is the only decent game I might want to buy and it's going for $49 http://www.jbhifi.com.au/games/nintendo/wii/

In the last few weeks I bought Heavy Rain for $35, Just Cause 2 for $45, Sega Super Stars Tennis for $5, The Saboteur for $18, Brutal Legend for $15 and the DJ Hero kit for $46. All those game are for my PS3 and they cost much less than the listed prices of all the good Wii games. In Australia the software for the Nintendo Wii is too expensive, I was a customer once and I was not satisfied.

Bet with Conegamer and AussieGecko that the PS3 will have more exclusives in 2011 than the Wii or 360... or something.
