all states vary and some have none from what i just looked up,online shopping might be nothing too

I might be wrong on this, but I think online stores base themselves in states with no/low sales tax so their prices are lower, but there are still situations where sales tax applies.  Which is a similar situation to people in Europe ordering goods from other countries to avoid paying(or paying lower) VAT/GST/Tax.

That's why the federal government is studying to change the taxes law, so you pay the sales tax of the purchaser's state, not the sales tax of the seller's state. I'm not sure if it would work, it would be an accounting nightmare to the small internet shops. (I'm talking about USA)
