Actually, a capacitive touch screen is the one thing I most wish the 3DS had.
I still haven't verified that the iPad form factor is any good for action games. It's great for strategy and other slow-paced games, but even if you added buttons and thumbsticks onto it, I get a sense it would be too unwieldy for any games requiring fast response.
