meh, when will we start seeing developers go "well, now that we have started making actual effort, we have discovered _______ can be done on Wii".

I  hate how all of these developers act like they are making a huge effort to port Wii games to HD platforms, when its actually the opposite. How about making real effort to port the countless "HD exclusives" to the Wii console? So PS360 owners really want that mickey mouse game or NBA jam, why wouldn't Wii owners want Assassin's Creed or Arkham Asylum? To those who say "Wii couldn't handle it", that whole argument is getting incredibly old...

nothing against the Wii, i like the system, i have access to one myself..but the problem is the games designed for the Wii would not be designed the same way for the xbox360 and the PS3 due to the multi-core CPU design in the HD system's, now not to say they could not make a game to work on all three, no doubt. but the truth of the matter the Wii's spec's are no way near the other two in CPU power. But like i stated, that's not a problem really, unless the Game is designed for other type's of processing.

this is the spec's of the Wii:

Additional specs Hardware

  • CPU speed:
    729 MHz
  • CPU cores:
    1
  • GPU speed:
    243 MHz

as you can see the processor is a single core @ 729 Mhz, nothing wrong with that, but both the xbox360 and the PS3 have multiple CPU cores in the GHz as a matter of fact each of those core's run at 3.2 GHz quite a bit more speed than a single 800 Mhz processor.

now 2 of the big problem's is two fold, the processor speed and the Bus speed of the Wii which is not as fast as the PS3 or the xbox360. but it does not have to be, so it's not a problem really , unless your designing a game to run on the Wii Spec's as the base spec's for your Game.

you notice the GPU is also not as fast, but the big problem is also it capabilities in resolution, which is not a problem if you base the game on the Wii spec's to start.

the big problem is:

build a game with the Wii sec's from the start, but underuse the XBOX360 and PS3's strong point's which is great for Wii user's but may not be so for the HD system user's. But if a game is good it should not matter what the final resolution is.

but that's upto the people making the game and the consumer on what they like and what they do not like.

I AM BOLO

100% lover "nothing else matter's" after that...
