Its useful for sports and fast paced movies, and considering I'm an AVID hockey fan, try to watch nearly almost all of my teams games and that I watch a ridiculous amount of movies I think it would be useful.
And regardless the TV has a gaming mode that reduces it to 60Hz and optimizes.
All in all I think the LG has the best, most robust list of features and packs allot of bang for the buck.
