Not sure, I think it needs a Windows Live ID.

Just create a fake hotmail account and select US as your country and then create a Gamertag.

I just did it on xbox.com and it worked.

I don't even use my email account that I've linked to my Gamertag ^^

the problem is now.... My gamertag is taken! =[ , can i delete that? if not , great here comes another "PullusPardusUS" like i did on my PSN xD

Did you already create a Gamertag, but with "wrong" country informations or are you seriously asking me if you can delete a Gamertag which doesn't belong to you ?

Lol i've made one long ago when i didn't have the Xbox to play with a friend, but i had it on UK, but anyways my new one is called PullusPardusXBL if you want to add me =]
