That's just a stereotype. Actually between '97-'00 41% of people 65 Identified as democrat while 50% of democrats surveyed as liberal. These are old numbers and political landscapes do change over time (in '77 51% of the public identified as Democrat) but they're not that old, and they debunk that old myth that "once they're out of their college experimental phase they'll get more conservative" charade.
