You're right about the Move. I don't expect it to sell high numbers. Kinect will sell big because of Microsoft's ability to market items and the fact Kinect is something new.

No, the Kinect is unique technology and it markets itself. People are generally intrigued by it and I think you hate to admit that.

The technology is improved tech from the PS Eye. Don't tell me it's completely different from the Ps Eye, because me and you know that isn't true. I wouldn't exactly use the word unique, and I'm not dumb, of course people are intrigued by it. People were intrigued with the Wii's motion controls, and PS3's bluray. New technology (not really new in this case) will intrigue plenty of poeple.

Well ofcourse most of this forum agrees with you. For two reasons; 1) most people on this forum are bias for the PS3; 2) this site consists of core users. With that said, the opinoins of this website is not shared with the masses.

You're right. There's also not a sure way of knowing if the casuals will pick of Kinect a lot.

Obviously games like Kinect Adventures and Kinect Sports are riding the coat tails of Wii Sports and Wii Play. But the potential of full body motion tracking can make the party game genre better than ever and that's why I look forward to them. Bear in mind both of those games are climbing the pre order charts fast with months away from their release.

I'm glad full body motion tracking will make it better for you, but you don't equal everyone else.

The Move has its fair share of shovelware as well. And are we pretending it doesn't have Wii software clones? Frankly, the best games with Move support play just fine with a joystick. I wouldn't spend $99 for a Move bundle and $29 for a Navigation control when I can just play games I enjoy with a joystick.

I never said Move didn't have shovelware. It does, and it probably will get more, and yes, the games are a lot like Wii games. And I would hope the best games with Move support would play just fine with a joystick, because Sony would have a problem if it didn't. My point is that Move can make those games even better, something you refuse to acknoledge because Kinect doesn't do it for your games.

Why do you keep complaining about core games? If you just want core games than the Kinect isn't for you. The 360 already offers plenty of core games and it'll keep getting them. With that said, the Move isn't for core gamers either. Because the games core gamers enjoy already work great with a joystick. They can save that Move money to buy core PS3 games.

Most of the 360 owners, well I'd assume, are hard core gamers. I would hope Microsoft would be able to offer something to their core audience with Kinect, because Kinect won't have an easy time competing with the Wii this Christmas as a bundle. You're acting as if core gamers aren't interested in Kinect, and I assure you they are, if not more than Casuals. But they're disappointed that there's no games for them.

I own a Wii and I can honestly say motion controls do little to make core games better. I was recently playing No More Heroes and Call of Duty games, I couldn't help but think I would be happier with a joystick. And we all know how core games sell on the Wii.

So because you played with a Wii which doesn't compare to Move's accuracy and you made a judgement off of that. You're thinking core games will have the same effect on PS3, but that's wrong, since each console has a different audience.

The Move is friggin expensive. I mean $99 for the Move bundle and $29 for the Navigation control. On top of that, some games require two Move controls. I won't even get into the cost for multiplayer gaming. Sony claims they designed the Move for core games. But we both know it doesn't have the attention of the masses both core and casual. The only people giving it any attention and hyping it is Sony fans.

Let me guess, you're one of those people who believed those BS charts from Microsoft. $99 Move bundle 1 controller matches the price of your Kinect. The Navigation controller is not required for any game yet, and since you're going on and on for casuals, they probably won't even get it since it's mainly for Shooters. And Multiplayer gaming? You really shouldn't even go there, considering Kinect only actively tracks 2 people. And I don't know why you say we both know it doesnt have the attention of the masses, I've only really heard good things about the Move towards its core games, and casuals will have fun with it too. It's receiving great press from many game sites, but you wouldn't want to say that, now would you?

Bear in mind. If people want motion controls similar to the Move with a huge library. They can buy a Wii for $199. A PS3 with Move will cost $399. My guess is people interested in motion controls will stick with the Wii. But people who are intereseted in cutting edge full body motion tracking can get the 360 Kinect bundle for $299. Innovative technology and lower price is a big edge on MS's side.

You're right about the Wii and the Move. For casuals, they'll be competing against each other on price. But the PS3 base can make the Move succeed all by its own if Sony markets it correctly. You're assuming people will buy the Kinect simply because of the technology, but you forget that for people who already own a Wii, another $300 out of their pocket would seem unreasonable, innovative technology or not, especially with the lineup of games being so similar to the Wii.

I don't know which line up the reviewing websites are more interesed in. All I know is the Kinect is getting a ton of attention and the Move is getting little. Make of that what you will.

What I do know is that lately there have been coverage of bugs of the Kinect software from not only this site, but others as well. Yes, it's getting more press, but that could also harm it if people think it's not as great as it seems.

As long as core gamers own a 360 they won't feel like they are left in the dust. But if they don't want casual games, they shouldn't buy the Kinect to begin with.

By that logic, Kinect just lost a major part of the base it should be appealing to as well as Casuals. Now Microsoft will have to compete dirrectly with the Wii, which like I said, will be tough.
