Do good endings make great games?

Maybe for RPGs which you play for the story...But name me a AAA action game with a good ending.

well a good ending is opinion oriented mostly but if you need an example inFamous is a good example...

Ending/story etc all help to create a great game...sure there are cases where few aspects are so good the rest doesn't really matter but it's hard to argue that a good ending would have made such games even better..
