Wouldn't that make it harder for Kinect to sell if current 360 owners are uninterested. 

I am not sure they are uninterested but certainly in the begginning MS will be targetting a wider audience. I still expect a strong uptake from 360 owners but not necessarily for the just the games rather the package.

I fully expect augmented games to come out down the road that will make the most of controller and kinect this will be were the 360 hardcore can engage with Kinect. Leaning, Talking and even feedback based on facial expression it will all come eventually.

When people talk about kinect sometimes it reminds me of the tomorrows world CD peice. They knew it was cool but  smeared crap on it and tried to make it play and completely missing the point.
