More so than the line up, I'm looking forward to MS's new technology as is everyone else.

Ultimately, the best games use a joystick.

How is it new, both the ps3 and wii have come out with a cam of some sort for some games, well wii is only one, the tech isn't new at all MS is just pretending it is and people like you are believing them

Don't play dumb, you know the Kinect has far more capabilities than the Eyetoy.

You might wanna do some reading on it before you compare it to a webcam.

Far is a stretch, I won't argue that kinect can do more then the ps eye but not alot more, and most of the stuff it can do that the ps eye can't do (or rather can't do as well) is pure software and has nothing to do with the tech MS is pretending is "new" basically the only things kinect is better at is depth perception and facial recognition I can't think of anything else, the eye can track the body it's been done (both in kung fu panda and in a vid I saw in a tech demo of move with it overlaying the guys limbs and tracking them with a skeletal thing over the vid, I'm unsure if the wands aided with this in anyway, it did not appear so) it's hard to say which is better at it without a back to back thing, so yeah, kinect an improve over the eye toy yes, a huge improvement, I don't really see it, the main dif seems to be hype and pushing the product

Well the Eyetoy has been out for a long time now and a vast majority of the games involve you starting at yourself and smacking random objects. A few titles can understand some gestures and thats pretty much it.

So with that said, I think the Kinect is a huge improvment. It has far more potential and will get many games that can't be duplicated on the Eyetoy.

You're right. Kinect is a huge improvement, and probably does have more potential. That being said, nothing from E3 points to this "potential" other than Dance Central, and even that isn't that amazing.

Just so you know, potential means it actually can do more. Hence, it does major things the Eyetoy can't.

For example, I don't see any driving games on Eyetoy that let you drive with your hands. The best I saw on Eyetoy was Antigrav but that was more like a blanancing act. Obviously that wouldn't work for most racers.

Kinect Adventures lets you move a model, Eyetoy generally just lets you stare at your self and touch things.

Eyepet is something that could have more potential on the Kinect because you would be able to actually grab and strangle the pet. Which is what we hope for in Kinectimals.

The only Eyetoy dancing I've seen involved you staring at yourself touching areas of the screen. For the record, most people don't like looking at themselves.

We haven't seen many Kinect games yet. But I'm more intrigued by the little Kinect software we've seen so far than all the Eyetoy games combined.

Ok I'll go down the list

1. From Dictionary.com Potential - capable of being or becoming: a potential danger to safety.
2. Are you talking about the game Joy Ride that can't control it's speed? Or atleast, thats what I've heard.
3. I don't know exactly what you mean by moving models. I'm pretty sure the EyeToy can let you move a model also.
4. EyePet does have more potential on Kinect because of Kinect's better tracking and depth, yes. But as you can see from this video here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uFbB1W9t0KY Kinectimals does not seem that far ahead in technology.
5. PS Eye probably couldn't do Dance Central in it's current form, but it's been said there might be a port of Dance Central using the Move.
6. The curiousity happens with almost all new technology. Only time will tell if Microsoft finds a worthwhile game to use it for (other than Dance Central).
