| TheRealMafoo said: To clear up my point. Last year Arizona rounded up 250,000 mexicans. Of those, 17% already had criminal records. That's almost 1 in 5. Do you think 1 in 5 mexicans are criminals? I sure don't. If an Iranian entered our country illegally, would you think this person was of equal character as a typical iranian? If not, why do you think a Mexican who enters out country is? Yes, there are many Mexicans who enter our country just to work and provide for there families. But the number of illegal aliens who are entering our country for illegal means is considerably higher then average. To ignore that because they are mexican, is to be basing a judgment based on race. Thus, racist. |
To be fair, entering the country illegally does make it harder to get a job then legally meaning it's more likely you'd have to enter a life of crime. So the numbers may be scewed because of this.
Although additionally to be fair to your point... there are a lot more people who want to be in the US who don't come illegally and try and wait and do things the legal way.
So there is a difference between those who come here legally and illegally.
The reason so few people can come in legally has a lot to do with linejumpers coming in illegally afterally.
In an overall group sense you could say once group was more moral then the other, of course when it comes down to the individual, that of course would be much more troublesome.
